Make your opening an occasion.
New office? New shop? New business? Let’s give your launch the attention it deserves — a welcoming opening ceremony, a ribbon-cutting moment, community invitations, publicity planning and an event people remember.
Plan your opening event ↗Open with a little fanfare.
A business opening is an opportunity to introduce your people, your premises and your story to the local community. From a compact ribbon-cutting outside the front entrance to an office launch with customers, partners and employees, I can help with the ceremony, hosting and event atmosphere.
Invite the Mayor
Plan a formal invitation to the local mayor or civic representative and create a suitable welcome, speech and ribbon-cutting moment. Attendance depends on the guest’s availability and acceptance; it cannot be guaranteed.
Local radio & press
Prepare a newsworthy opening announcement and approach relevant local radio stations, journalists and community publications. Media attendance or coverage is subject to editorial interest, not promised.
Cut the ribbon
Make the official opening the centrepiece: a short introduction, invited guests, a countdown, ribbon cutting and photographs to capture the moment.
Promotions & giveaways
Welcome guests with introductory offers, vouchers, product samples, leaflets or branded giveaways — with a clear way for people to discover and remember your business.
Professional event hosting
I’ll help establish the running order, make introductions, cue speakers and keep proceedings moving without making the event feel stiff or overly corporate.
Music & atmosphere
From tasteful background music to a more upbeat launch celebration, we can discuss DJ and sound requirements as part of the event plan.
How a launch could run.
Create a buzz
Agree the launch date, guest list, civic invitations, media outreach, promotional offers, signage, photographs and the event schedule.
Bring everyone together
Welcome guests, introduce the owner and any invited dignitaries, coordinate short speeches and stage the ribbon cutting.
Let the business shine
Invite guests inside, offer demonstrations or tours, distribute promotions, take photographs and keep the atmosphere lively.
Office. Shop. Showroom. Something new.
This kind of event can work for new offices, business relocations, independent retailers, salons, gyms, hospitality venues, showrooms and new premises. The format should suit your budget, audience and goals — whether that’s attracting local customers, thanking partners or welcoming a growing team.
I offer corporate event services, event hosting and MC support and DJ and event entertainment. We can discuss which elements you’d like me to provide and whether any publicity, civic liaison or promotions require additional suppliers or arrangements.
Good to know.
Can you arrange for the Mayor to attend?
We can build a mayoral or civic invitation into the opening plan, but the relevant mayor’s office decides whether to attend. We’ll prepare a good alternative running order in case they are unavailable.
Can you get local radio or press coverage?
We can prepare and pitch a local-interest story and invite radio or press contacts. Editorial coverage and attendance cannot be guaranteed.
Do we need a big venue or guest list?
No. A short ceremony outside an office or shop can be effective with a modest group of local contacts and customers.
Can we give away promotional material?
Yes. Opening-day offers, vouchers, branded gifts and product samples can be planned into the guest journey, subject to suitable permissions and any relevant promotional rules.
Do you provide the ribbon, sound and photography?
Tell me what you’d like included. I can help plan the ceremony and discuss hosting and DJ provision; any additional equipment, promotional materials, photography or third-party services will be agreed as part of the quote.
Let’s make your launch count.
Tell me where you’re opening, your planned date and the kind of occasion you have in mind. We’ll discuss a practical event plan and what support you need.
